Dancer was born in 1984, he is an Appaloosa but was never registered. Standing at only 14.1 hands he is a little guy with a big attitude.
I have had Dancer since 1997, he and I have done just about everything there is to do together. He moved with me from Maine to Oregon in 1998, and then back to Maine in 2005. We've competed successfully in just about everything from Halter classes, English and Western pleasure, Dressage, Jumping, Barrel Racing and lots of other Gymkhana events. He was my 4-H horse until I got too old for that, then he and I were on the Columbia County Rodeo Court. We traveled around Oregon and Washington to lots of different rodeos, parades and such. Then he went to college with me, where we discovered the thrill of Drill Team. There's nothing like coordinating 18 galloping horses in one arena. We also enjoyed many camping trips to the mountains and beaches of Oregon. So as you can see, we have done just about everything together.
Now that we are back in Maine he is in semi-retirement....we still go for some trail rides and I use him for some lessons, but he is enjoying a well deserved rest, at least till next summer *smile*
