Our dogs are first and foremost important members of the family. They all live in the house and help out with chores around the farm. They love going for long horseback rides in the woods and never miss an opportunity to go for a swim.
We enjoy practicing obedience, flyball, and agility, and occasionally we attend herding clinics. We also compete in obedience and conformation classes.
Our breeding program focuses on creating a balanced dog who is sound in mind and body. We breed for Aussies with the potential to do well in Conformation, Agility and Obedience. However the majority of puppies sell as family pets, so our primary concern is to produce happy and healthy companions. Before breeding, all of our dogs have their hips cleared with OFA, are Penn HIP Rated and have their eyes cleared annually through CERF. Temperament and trainability are also big factors in our breeding program. We find that the AKC's Canine Good Citizen program is a good starting point for determining an animals temperament.
